"Christine's Playground"

As an artist I find I love working with circular shapes that become whimisical when I draw hanging tendrils that extend from their borders. With their hanging tendrils extending from them. For me these circular shapes become merry dancers, singers of song and players of games in the playground of life. I try to make these playground magical. I try to create joyous atmosphere of surprise that constantly would disorient the spectator in my playgrounds. I wanted these paintings and their circular shapes to establish their own autonomy and at the same time have the viewer become intimate with them hearing them sing and seeing them dance. I want these playgrounds to sing praises to the natural landscapes and gardens where I constantly find my inspirations. These paintings are my way of giving back to nature what it has given me.
